BeatHIV is an organization dedicating to eliminating HIV cases in Tarrant County, providing resources for prevention, treatment, and testing.
They wanted to create an interactive tool for people with HIV to easily and discreetly get help and information about their next steps to live a fulfilling life.
I was tasked with creating mid-fidelity wireframes to pass onto our design partner,
- Mobile accessibility was crucial, as users may not have access to a desktop computer. I needed to account for users who may be homeless or below the poverty line, where having a mobile phone was more easily accessible.
- The tool would need to serve as a quick-start for people at any stage of their journey, from diagnosis and being informed, to mental health services and resources for health care, transportation, housing, and food security.
- Quick and discreet scrolling, while creating an inviting application was necessary for users who may be in the company of those who could jeopardize their safety or further access to help. I also wanted to account for users who may feel shock or shame from a recent diagnosis, creating a safe and encouraging way to get the help they needed.
